Somewhere along the way, candles became synonymous with beige rooms, vague promises of inner peace and names like Serenity.

We weren't interested. 

Dead Calm was created for people who want something with a little more personality.

Something you actually want to look at, not just another jar. 

SO WE MADE SKULLS.

It started with a simple idea:

What if a candle could be part of the room even when it wasn't burning?

Not just something you light for an hour and forget about.

Something that represents you. Something you'd actually want sitting on your shelf.

THE OBSESSION WITH GETTING IT RIGHT.

Different waxes.

Different wicks.

Different fragrance loads.

More failed pours than we'd care to admit.

Years of testing went into finding the combination that gave us the look we wanted and a candle we're genuinely happy to burn, Because a candle should look fucking cool.

DARK BY DESIGN.

This Isn't your Mums soy candle.

Good design doesn't have to be boring and Self-care doesn't have to be beige.

SOMETHING GOOD IN SOMETHING DARK.

We donate a portion of our profits to MIND Charity, supporting better mental health and wellbeing.

Because sometimes looking after yourself doesn't look like meditation, green juice and a scented bath. Sometimes it's simply setting a skull on fire. And if something as small as lighting one of our candles can help create that moment, we're all for it.
